The Final Detail: Mirror Caps
Once you've upgraded your front and rear emblems, the mirrors are the next logical focal point. A set of custom-engraved mirror caps balances the profile of the truck, creating a cohesive design language from nose to tail. Today, we're walking through the installation process for the most common T1 Silverado/Sierra (2019+) and Ford F-Series mirrors.
Preparation is Key
Before you begin, ensure you have a set of **plastic trim tools**. Never use a metal screwdriver, as you will inevitably mar the plastic mirror housing or glass. For many models, you will also need to adjust the mirror glass fully inward to access the internal clips.
- Safety Tip: Wear gloves. Mirror glass can be fragile, and some models have integrated wiring for blind-spot monitors.
- Temperature: Never attempt this in freezing weather; cold plastic clips are prone to snapping. Install in a warm garage or on a sunny day.

Most modern mirror caps are held in by 4-6 large plastic clips. Work your trim tool around the seam, applying steady, outward pressure. You will hear a series of loud 'pops'—this is normal. Once the factory cap is off, simply align our custom aluminum cap and apply firm pressure until it 'clicks' into place.
Verification
Ensure the mirror glass moves freely through its full range of motion. If you have integrated turn signals, verify they are visible and not obstructed by the new cap.
