Safe Grille Emblem Removal for 2015-2017 Chevy Silverado

Don't Snap Those Clips

Removing the front emblem on a 2015-2017 Silverado can be frustrating because it's held by mechanical clips, not just glue. If you pull too hard from the front, you risk cracking the grille housing.

Accessing the Back of the Grille

Open the hood and remove the plastic radiator shroud (held by 10-12 plastic push pins). This allows you to reach down behind the grille. Locate the two primary tabs holding the bowtie. Press them inward while another person gently pulls the emblem from the front.

Pro Tip: Work in the Sun

Plastic clips are more brittle in the cold. Doing this on a warm day or in a heated garage ensures the tabs flex instead of snapping.
