Handling HD Tailgate Badges
The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD features massive tailgate branding. When removing these for a custom Engraving Nation set, you need to account for the larger adhesive surface area.
Step 1: Outlining
Use blue painter's tape to mark the exact location of the original badges. This ensures your new custom emblems are perfectly aligned when you install them later.
Step 2: The Fishing Line Method
Because the 2500HD badges are thicker, use a heavy-duty 20lb test fishing line. Work from the corners inward, keeping the line as close to the emblem back as possible to avoid scratching the clear coat.
